INFJ: The Counselor, sometimes called the Protector, also known as the Advisor

INFJs may be identified by their ability to “see the future.” Some refer to this ability as having a crystal ball; the INFJ seems to know what will happen ahead of time. INFJs also have curious accuracy in understanding others with few words; INFJs may predict or understand a persons’ behavior before or much better than the person understands themselves.

INFJs make excellent therapists and counselors. Their ability to connect with individuals in a one-on-one setting is unparalleled. They are able to set the other person at ease. INFJs have a strong desire to help others in their individual life goals and will go to great lengths, exhibiting seemingly endless patience, while they wait for the other to align themselves with the natural “path” of personal growth which the INFJ has been long privy to.  INFJs are able to somehow get others in touch with those natural personal growth pathways.

In social settings INFJs enjoy themselves while also showing an inherent calmness. They may become excited from time to time, and often are expressive in communication, but do not typically go “overboard” with heavy dramatics.

INFJs can be very intimate in personal relationships. They often have rich, close friendships but often idealize love and may wait until a relatively “perfect” romantic relationship presents itself before seriously commiting. And for the INFJ, such a relationship just may.

To the outsider, the INFJ may seem aloof, or not so personable. But those close to the INFJ know a deep richness  that may have never been encountered before.
