ENTJ The Polished Leader

Sigourney Weaver/Jim Carrey

If any MBTI persona invented business attire, it was an ENTJ.

The ENTJ loves anything that asserts their high maintenance, vanity and plans for world domination.

This usually includes a fair amount of tailoring and anything with a pricey designer label. ENTJs don’t just build a wardrobe; they plot one.

Even the purchase of jeans are a very serious matter for ENTJs, as they spend 90% of their free time at the gym and need the best boot-cut to show their toned Gluteus Maximus.

It is likely that when you see a well dressed ENTJ you will feel fear and a sense of admiration concurrently, which is exactly what they had intended (INTJs have similar agendas).

INTJ The Minimalist

Lance Armstrong/Michelle Obama

INTJs have a great understanding of architecture in fashion. They have unerring eyes for the fit and proportion a garment of clothing should have and insist on looking “correct”.

Michelle Obama

If it is not flattering, it is not an investment, and if it is not an investment, it makes no sense to purchase and will be disregarded on the clothing rack; also they do not compromise either with their choice in retailers or the quality of their fabrics.

INTJs enjoy simplicity and therefore disregard most accessories and frivolities (as robots they are also often confused by them).

The end result is a rather refined yet intriguing style that adds to their quiet confidence and allure.

In their downtime the INTJ’s geekier persona takes precedence and they are often found in chucks, khakis, and other traditionally geeky apparel.

INTP The Eccentric

Mary-Kate Olsen/Paul Walker

Some INTPs manage to dress remarkably well considering how oblivious they are to the world they live in. Being think-outside-the-box types, INTPs

Paul Walker

usually dress with a lot of individuality and style, if they remember to clothe themselves at all. As their environment rarely penetrates their extensive wavelengths of thought, it is not surprising that INTPs can often go days without changing their clothes and are often mistaken for hobos upon emerging from their basements.

Olsen Twins

Luckily many INTPs have loved ones that can remind them when to rotate shirts and they manage to clean up quite nicely when required.

ENTP The Aloof

Kirsten Dunst/Guy Ritchie

ENTPs enjoy clothing for the purposes of manipulating people’s perspectives of themselves, luring the opposite sex, and showing how revolutionary they consider themselves to be (not caring about the latest trends is considered an act of rebellion amongst ENTPs).

Guy Ritchie

Most of the time, however, ENTPs see no other purpose in clothing aside from providing bodily warmth, which makes utility their priority in clothing selection.

For this reason most ENTP females are tomboys and most ENTP males are dressed by their wives.

Fun fact: ENTPs love pockets.

NF Idealists: Fashion & What They Wear

by Tracey MacCorquodale on October 4, 2010

INFJ The Strange Mystery

The INFJ’s style embodies their cryptic, unique and strange personalities. Confident INFJs who take an interest in fashion will develop a characteristic signature style that reflects the originality that lurks beneath their quiet surfaces. INFJs who have not yet explored their personal style will have a more sombre wardrobe dominated by neutrals and the occasional strange accessory with personal significance, such as rosary necklace. More than other types, INFJs love costume parties where they can go into character.

INFP The Morbid and Quirky

The INFP is constantly starring in their own epic tragedy so they often feel most like themselves in black, the color of mourning. Being creative and imaginative creatures, INFPs can assemble very interesting and romantic combinations, but usually after a large internal struggle due to their chronic indecision. Often in a hyper-critical perfectionist fit they will disregard their unique outfits for something safe and routine. As with most of their lives, getting dressed is an emotional thing rather than a ritual.

ENFP The Free Spirit

ENFPs have no qualms attracting all sorts of attention to themselves even if just to give others a glimpse at what they can’t have. With a keen interest in creative expression and a flair for the dramatic, ENFPs will try out any look. Bold colors, lots of skin, avante-guard trends, cross gender dressing; nothing is off-limits (especially if you tell them it’s off limits).  Even when forced into business casual an ENFP will find a way to add an eccentric twist to their look that links to one of their idyllic life philosophies.

ENFJ The Social Chameleon

ENFJs take a lot of pride in their appearance and make damn sure they look good; they have places to go, things to do, and people to please! With a social agenda that includes glamorous events, formal gatherings, and spiritual dealings, ENFJs need a varied wardrobe to meet their many social needs. Unless it’s an accessory, an ENFJ is unlikely to wear bold colors or wild prints due to their tendency to mesh with their surroundings. Although ENFJs may not be noticed for having a unique or loud wardrobe, they receive much attention for their confidence and sex appeal (fitted clothing and glimpses of flesh are not foreign to ENFJs).

ENTJ: the FieldMarshal

ENTJs are independent individuals who do not seek to follow but instead live a life of leading. Sometimes the ENTJ is called the Supervisor of Supervisors. The ENTJ sees life at the birds eye view, and is well aware that from their perspective a group will benefit if they are in charge.

Because of the ENTJs inherent abilities and talent, [Read More…]
