ESTP: The Doer, The Promoter
The ESTP lives in the here-and-now just as much as the ESFP. ESTPs have a powerful presence. They are “people People” and are usually popular wherever they go. The ESTP is straightforward and direct in communication. ESTPs “get the party started.” They react quickly to changes in their environment, whether those changes be in the people around the ESTP or in objects or events.
ESTPs are keen to style of dress and appearance overall. They quickly notice anything available to the 5 senses. The ESTP can be very impulsive, as they tend to be adventurous and like change but become bored easily when things stay the same.
ESTPs love to be on top of their game. They typically seek in all situations to be in charge. Other types tend to see the ESTPs behavior as communicating they wish all others to be passive. However, interestingly the ESTP very much respects anyone who can beat the ESTP at their own game, or “one up.” ESTPs understand the value of “shock” and use shock value to throw off opponents (generally anyone in their vicinity).
ESTPs make life fun for others. Deep down they care for people and see to it that others are enjoying themselves. However, the ESTP does not want anyone to see this and most often adopts a serious, even calloused or jaded veneer.
The ESTP seeks fine clothing, enjoyable dining experiences… you name it, the finer things in life the ESTP seeks. ESTPs find flexibility to be very important and are willing to rearrange their lives to make their lives more flexible.
Some may find the ESTP intimidating, even threatening; this does not necessarily bother the ESTP. They may rather like such a reaction, and seek it. However those few lucky enough to really get to know the ESTP will find they are brilliantly fun and exciting people, often with many hidden talents just waiting to be unearthed.
