I would encourage Cindy to monitor her mood and to watch out for the depressed mood that may return. I would encourage her to seek counseling in the future if the depression were to return. Overall, Cindy appeared to be a fully functional individual.
I cannot see any need for any other assessment tools at this time. Work psychopathology does not appear to be present, as Cindy reported that she enjoyed her jobs. In addition, Cindy’s supervisor and co-workers praised Cindy’s work and enthusiasm.
In conclusion, Cindy is a healthy individual who requires career guidance. The best thing that a career counselor could do for Cindy would be to offer careers that would fit Cindy’s interests, skills, and strengths according to the assessments mentioned above. A career counselor would also discuss with Cindy which jobs would be viable options.
