ESFP: The Performer

ESFPs love being the center of attention, as many E’s and especially EF’s. However, the ESFP enjoys being the center of attention possibly more than any other type. ESFPs typically enjoy attention while they are  dancing, performing muscially, or a variety of other activities.

The ESFP cares about how others feel. They are sensitive to others and typically are very compassionate people. The ESFP is often willing to offer assistance, usually in the form of practical care to others; this ability may be mainly attributed to their sensitivity to other’s emotions being amiss. The ESFP may offer advice too, but they are not usually good at it or accurate. The ESFP very much lives in the here-and-now, having little patience for future planning or theory.

ESFPs are keen to the world around them, as the majority of their life experiences are focused on being viewed through purely what is happening Right Now, as perceived by the 5 senses. As a result, ESFPs are always aware of what’s new, what’s happening now, what’s popular.

The ESFP also has little patience for historical information, or what has happened in the past. ESFPs are warm, generous, and optimistic. They love people and are usually loved by everyone in return. Their normal kind, caring persona will be altered if you cross them. In such a situation, or if they sense you are reckless or ruthless with others’ emotions without any reason to be, they may give up their optimistic outlook when viewing you. To come back from such a fall rarely happens for the friends and acquaintances of the ESFP.

The ESFP is very aware of their own appearance as well as everyone else’s. Looking good is very important to them. They may offer assistance to others and mean it in the best way, when they see a flaw in someone’s appearance that the ESFP may believe the individual is not aware of. The ESFP sees this as a very kind, caring, and necessary service.
