ENFJ: The pedagogue, The Teacher, The actor
ENFJs are purportedly capable of having the most exceptional people skills of all the types. However, enfjs are also capable of using their gifts to manipulate others.
Typically the ENFJ has good purposes in mind- how those purposes might be judged, however, is subjective. ENFJs have a stong desire to help people achieve their full potential. ENFJs love to be involved in inspiring and motivating others. Mature ENFJs try to inspire others to achieve as the individual wishes. ENFJs are able to pick up on others’ desired life path, and have a desire to help people achieve their own goals. However, the teacher side of the ENFJ tends to teach others as the ENFJ sees fit, sometimes leading individuals off their own desired path.
ENFJs see other’s strengths and weaknesses and tend to encourage others to homeostasis. Mature ENFJs are able to make this process enjoyable for both parties. ENFJs appeal to others’ desire for greatness. If the ENFJ is healthy, they will instill hope and excitement in all those around.
The ENFJ is in touch with their own strengths and weaknesses and is constantly grading themselves in personal growth according to their own goals. ENFJs love to work in groups, and are most at home helping a group acheive a goal. That goal needs not be well defined; the ENFJ can help the group to realize what goals they wish to set.
The ENFJ is often likened unto a chameleon. ENFJs change their words, behavior, body language and even voice tone to suit the individual or audience and the circumstance. ENFJs who are mature are able to comfort or “say the right thing” in any situation, however unexpected or terrible things may be.
ENFJs possess the NF/Idealist’s great desire for genuineness, authenticity, and that lifelong quest for identity. This coupled with the ENFJs chameleon-like qualities lead the ENFJ to feel like a “fraud.” This paradox can be a great source of pain and insecurity for the ENFJ, who also prefers to appear dependable and strong, and can make them feel suddenly very frail, vulnerable, and defensive.
ENFJs are notorious for worrying too much about what other people think of them. They are bright around others, but when alone can think very negatively. ENFJs wish to model healthy behavior and believe every relationship has teacher/student components.
